WaveTrax is a media player for Microsoft Windows. The Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management created a physical model for an exhibition for illustrating the flood problem at river Rhine. This model simulated scenarios for flood prevention while providing audible explanations in different languages. The challenge was accessing all audio devices of the system at once, synchronizing the output and providing an interface to LabView.
I developed WaveTrax in C++ using the Windows Multimedia Functions for output and Dynamic Data Exchange for inter-process communication.
